Easel style card with spider web netting

This isn't the first time I have used spider web netting in my card making, but I usually use it as an embellishment in place of ribbon or lace. With this card, I have used the netting to create the background and have to say that I was rather pleased with the result and will definitely be doing it again. The cerise mirror card is a very vibrant colour and I wanted to 'tone it down a bit', and I think the white netting has done just that and also given the background a crackle ice effect too.

This particular Mothers Day card is a 6" square scalloped easel style (card blanks are from Hobbycraft), the foliage and flourish dies are all by Cheery Lynn. The vine design embossing folder used here is by embossilicious and the orchid was found attached to a hair slide in my local pharmacy along with two others.

I do hope you like the card and would love to hear what you think of the spider web netting.
As always, thank you for stopping by, I appreciate you taking the time and all comments are welcome. xx
